Recently, at the 2025 World Dairy Summit hosted by the International Dairy Federation (IDF), a PHA straw jointly developed by Mengniu as the lead organization, Pengli, a Tsinghua University research team, and Microeco Workshop, was successfully shortlisted for the "IDF Dairy Innovation Award" in the category of "Dairy Packaging and Transparency Innovation."

This PHA straw incorporates innovative pure-substrate technology, enabling it to be degraded by microorganisms in natural environments without relying on specific industrial composting facilities. It has also received authoritative certification from TUV Austria, confirming its ability to decompose into carbon dioxide and water within 180 days. Currently, the product has been implemented in stores of Mengniu's premium yogurt brand "YogurtDay," where it has gained initial market recognition.
