Recently, the China National Light Industry Council convened an expert appraisal session for the "Development of Key Technologies for Marine-Degradable PHA Novel Materials and Industrialization of Packaging Products" project. The project, a collaborative effort by Pengli, Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy, and Beijing Microgenics, has officially passed the technical assessment.

The project team has pioneered a multi-component composite system for PHA materials, effectively resolving critical industry challenges including material brittleness, suboptimal processing performance, and susceptibility to degradation over time. To address industrialization hurdles, Pengli has independently developed integrated automated production lines and specialized post-treatment equipment with optimized screw designs, successfully overcoming scalability constraints in PHA packaging manufacturing and achieving stable mass production of eco-friendly items such as PHA straws. The project has secured five national invention patents to date, with the developed materials obtaining authoritative marine-degradability certification. The resultant product portfolio demonstrates broad application potential and delivers substantial economic, environmental, and social value.
